Report an error
Inspectors, housebuilders and readers can ask us to correct any of the following. Please include the page URL and a link to a source that shows the correct information.
- Price — A listed "from" price no longer matches the provider's website.
- Qualification — A RICS, RPSA, CIOB or ombudsman membership is wrong or has lapsed.
- Coverage — An inspector no longer covers, or now covers, an area.
- Service availability — A service such as thermal imaging or re-inspection is offered or withdrawn.
- Business status — A company has closed, merged or changed name.
- Factual error — A statistic, warranty statement or other fact is wrong or out of date.
What happens next
- We check the request against the source provided and the provider's own published information.
- If the page is wrong, we update it and its “last verified” date.
- Material corrections — anything that changes a score, price, qualification or legal/warranty statement — are listed below.

Correction log

Warranty statements rewritten with scope. Earlier wording said builders are "legally required" to fix all defects "for free" for two years. The 2-year obligation comes from the warranty policy (for example NHBC Buildmark) and the builder's contract, applies to defects that breach the warranty standards, and has exclusions. Pages now say which scheme and jurisdiction a statement applies to.

Score methodology clarified. Methodology text previously listed "report quality" twice and described six dimensions; the score has always used five equally weighted dimensions. Labels corrected to Inspection Quality and Report Detail, and the formula is now published.
