About the HBF Star Rating
The Home Builders Federation (HBF) National New Homes Survey asks buyers whether they would recommend their developer. A 5-star rating means 90% or more said yes. A 3-star rating means below 70%. All developers on this page have reported defects after moving in -- even 5-star builders. An independent snagging survey remains worthwhile regardless of your developer's rating.
