Post-Completion Snagging Survey: What to Do After Moving In
If you did not have a pre-completion inspection, or if new issues have emerged since you moved in, a post-completion snagging survey is still highly valuable. You have up to 2 years from completion to report defects under your builder warranty.
When to Book
The ideal time is within the first 9 months of moving in. By this point, you will have experienced the property through different weather conditions, which often reveals issues with drainage, condensation, and heating that are not visible at completion.

After the Survey
Your inspector will provide a detailed written report with photographs. Submit this formally to your builder in writing. Keep copies of everything. Follow up at 4-6 weeks and escalate to NHBC if issues are not being addressed.
